Report Options (Site Visit Report Template)

The user enters the title of the report and instructions that are pertinent to this report. Additional tabs are available including Template, Tabs, Sections, Panels, and Panel Options.

Field

Description

Title

This field can contain up to 50 characters.

Instructions

This field can contain up to 500 characters.

Auto-Assign Section IDs

A check in the box, which is the default, indicates that the report will automatically assign letters starting with "A" to the sections and numbers starting with "1" to each section's questions. Removing the check allows the report designers the ability to number the sections using their own numbering system.

Review Comments

A check in the box indicates that the comments will appear on the report for unapproved reports only.

Review Comments Sub-report

This field is restricted to the list of Reports with a type of Sub-report and with a Data source of Site Visit Report Review Comments. This field will be hidden unless the Show Review Comments check box is checked.

 

Button

Description

Clicking the button will save the current template and create a new unpublished version of this template. The name of the new template will be set to "Copy of" plus the name of the current template. All of the sections, panels, and fields will be copied from the current template to the new template. The current template will be closed and the new template will now be displayed in edit mode.

Clicking the button will open the template to provide a visual. The blank Site Visit Report will be downloaded to the user’s browser as a PDF document.

  • If the template has not been published, the current values of the sections, panels, and fields will be used to create the blank Site Visit Report.

  • If the template has been published, the values of the sections, panels, and fields at the time the template was published will be used to create the blank Site Visit Report.

Clicking the button prevents changes once it is in use. Once the template is published, it can no longer be edited. If changes are needed, the published version and make changes, then this new template. Each published template carries the current UTC date and time as part of its name. The new template must be mapped again in the Project tab, Project Tables menu item, for Site Visit Report Template Maps.
