Communication Types List

The purpose of the Communications Types page is to display the list of Communication Type records. Records are grouped by their type, including Address, Phone, Fax, or Email.

 

You may add additional communication type records. For instance, if you wish to indicate that there is a phone in the parking lot, you would click , which opens the Detail Type module, select Phone, and enter Parking Lot into the Name field. This choice will be available to the user on the Phone tab of either the Global Contact or Global Institution module or both, depending on the selection(s) made. You may edit a record by clicking , which also opens the Detail Type module.

 

Users can filter the records on  Record Status (Active, Inactive, or All) as well as search for a word or string in the record. To remove all search options, click the button.

 

Columns can be sorted  in ascending or descending order by clicking the column heading.

 

Click Common Buttons for a description of the buttons found throughout the system and their uses.

 

 

 

Field

Description

 Name*

This column displays the communication type, either Address, Phone, Fax, or Email.

Global Contact*

A check in this column indicates that the communication type will be included in the Global Contact module as selected on the Detail Type module.

Global Institution*

A check in this column indicates that the communication type will be included in the Global Institution module as selected on the Detail Type module.
